Induction Ceremony – MSc in Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics (Teesside University)

On 10 January 2026, the Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences at BMS Campus welcomed the newest intake of students to the MSc in Cancer and Molecular Diagnostics, offered in collaboration with Teesside University, UK. The induction ceremony marked the official start of the programme and provided students with an overview of the course.

Students were briefed on the programme structure, including details of the research project, and were introduced to the state-of-the-art laboratory facilities. We were also grateful to Prof. Prasanna Galhena, Professor in Biochemistry and Clinical Chemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Kelaniya, for delivering an insightful session titled “Relevance of Molecular Targets in Haemato-Oncology.”

The event fostered strong academic and professional connections, giving students the opportunity to engage with senior faculty members. We wish all students every success in their academic journey.
