BMS Campus Convocation 2025: Celebrating Graduates of Teesside University and Northumbria University Programmes

BMS Campus hosted its annual Degree Convocation on Tuesday, 25 November 2025, at the BMICH, Colombo, marking an inspiring milestone for over 700 graduates and diplomates from the Faculties of Management and Technology and Life and Medical Sciences.

The prestigious ceremony featured two distinguished Chief Guests:

  • Morning Session: Professor Paul Croney OBE, Vice-Chancellor and Chief Executive of Teesside University, UK.
  • Evening Session: Professor John Woodward, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Northumbria University, UK.

 

Dr. W A Wijewardena, President of BMS Campus, opened the event by acknowledging the staff’s crucial role in maintaining high educational quality. Professor Croney’s keynote highlighted the importance of graduates making a meaningful impact on society amid global challenges, while Professor Woodward detailed Northumbria University’s commitment to impactful research and its role in graduates’ careers.

The event celebrated the students’ dedication and resilience, extending best wishes for their future professional endeavours.
