On 31 January 2026, BMS Campus Colombo Graduate School proudly hosted the Induction Ceremony for the MSc Management programme, delivered in collaboration with Northumbria University, UK. The event marked the formal commencement of the academic journey for the newest cohort of postgraduate students.
The ceremony featured a special online address by Professor John Woodward, Pro Vice-Chancellor of Northumbria University, who warmly welcomed students to the programme. In his address, he highlighted Northumbria University’s strong research culture, global academic reputation, and commitment to developing future-ready graduates equipped for leadership in an evolving global business environment.
During the session, students were provided with a comprehensive overview of the programme structure, including curriculum content, assessment methodologies, and academic expectations. The induction also served as an important platform for students to engage with faculty members and fellow peers, encouraging early academic collaboration and professional networking.
Adding practical industry insight to the programme, Dr Nushad Perera, Director of Ten Holdings, delivered a compelling guest lecture titled “Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Practice.” His session offered valuable perspectives on corporate leadership, innovation, and real-world business challenges, inspiring students to bridge academic knowledge with professional application.
The induction ceremony successfully set the tone for the MSc Management programme, reinforcing BMS Campus’s commitment to delivering internationally recognised postgraduate education in partnership with leading global universities.
