BMS Campus held its Board of Governors Meeting on Thursday, 23 October 2025, at Cinnamon Life, Colombo, bringing together distinguished members to discuss strategic directions and institutional progress.
The meeting was chaired by Dr W A Wijewardena, President of BMS Campus, and attended by prominent members including Dr Kelum Gamage (Vice President, BMS Campus), Dr Gamini Samaranayake (Former Chairman, University Grants Commission), Mr J P R Karunaratne (Deputy Governor, Central Bank of Sri Lanka), Mr Thushan Amarasuriya (CEO, Singer Finance PLC), Professor Deepthi De Silva (Professor in Medical Genetics), Professor Ravindra Fernando (Senior Professor), Dr Nushad Perera (Managing Director, Ten Holdings), and Justice Laffar Thahir (Retired Justice of the Court of Appeal).
The gathering commenced at 6.30 p.m, with a welcome address by the President of BMS Campus, followed by a presentation by Dr Nizam Razzaq (CEO, BMS Campus) on the “25 Years Legacy and the Way Forward”, reflecting on the institution’s remarkable journey of academic excellence and its future strategic aspirations.
Subsequently, Dr Kelum Gamage (Vice President, BMS Campus), led a comprehensive session on Institutional Review, Restructuring, and Compliance, outlining initiatives to strengthen academic governance, enhance quality assurance frameworks, and align operations with international standards.
The Governors then engaged in an open discussion, offering suggestions and recommendations to further elevate the institution’s academic and administrative performance. The meeting concluded at 7.45 p.m., marking another milestone in BMS’s ongoing commitment to innovation, quality, and institutional excellence.
