On 13 September 2025, the Business Management School (BMS) welcomed the newest additions to its final-year business degree family. This year’s induction was particularly special, as we celebrated the first-ever intake for the BSc (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality, and Events programme, alongside new cohorts for BSc (Hons) Global Business Management, BSc (Hons) Accounting and Finance, BSc (Hons) Global Business Management (Marketing), and BSc (Hons) Global Business Management (Human Resources).
Students received a comprehensive overview of their programmes and were treated to powerful sessions from two industry leaders. Mr. Dulith Herath, Founder and Chairman of Kapruka Holdings PLC, shared his entrepreneurial journey in “A Journey of Leadership,” while Mr. Arafath Ukeen Bangsajayah, Head of Sales of HSBC (Sri Lanka) helped students understand how to build their professional identity in his talk, “From Identity to Impact: Personal Branding for Career Success.”
The day was filled with insightful talks, introductions to campus resources, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow students and faculty. We’re excited to see what this new cohort achieves and wish them all the best on their academic journey!
