BMS successfully conducted the Bachelor of Business Management (Hons) – Batch 4 Induction Programme, marking an exciting beginning for a new cohort of undergraduate students as they embark on their academic journeys.
The day commenced with formal student registrations, followed by an inspiring institutional video showcasing BMS’s deep-rooted commitment to academic excellence and graduate success.
A key highlight of the event was an insightful keynote address by Prof Ashoka Malavi Arachchige, Dean of the Faculty of Management and Technology, who introduced the incoming students to the vast landscape of modern business management and highlighted the diverse global career opportunities awaiting future graduates. Following this, students received a comprehensive briefing on the programme structure, curriculum design, assessment methods, and academic expectations to prepare them for the rigours of the degree.
Fostering peer-to-peer mentorship, the induction featured interactive presentations by senior students, including a vibrant introduction to the Student Society and a special experience-sharing session led by the pioneering first batch of the BBM (Hons) programme. These sessions provided the newcomers with invaluable, firsthand advice on navigating campus life, developing leadership skills, and maximising their time at BMS.
The orientation concluded with an informal networking session over refreshments, allowing the new undergraduates to interact closely with faculty members, staff, and their fellow peers. The induction programme served as a vital foundation in preparing students for a rewarding academic experience and instilling a strong sense of community within the BMS family.
