- Harvard Hall, BMS Colombo Graduate School
On 27 March 2026, the Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences at BMS Campus hosted a vibrant induction ceremony at Harvard Hall to welcome a new generation of aspiring scientists. This event marked the official commencement of the academic journey for students enrolled in the Higher Diploma (HD) in science, spanning disciplines such as Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Food Science and Nutrition, and Medical Biotechnology. As a recognised pathway to a full degree for students who have completed their A/Ls, the programme is designed to provide a robust foundation for future professional and academic success.
The induction served as a comprehensive orientation, offering students vital information on the programme structure and assessment methods while introducing them to the modern facilities, academic resources, and student support services available on campus. Beyond the formal briefings, the event fostered a welcoming community environment where students could engage directly with faculty members and connect with their peers. By the end of the session, participants were well-equipped and inspired to begin this exciting new chapter in their scientific education.
