Opening Ceremony of the Centre for Quality Assurance (CQA)
Vice Chancellor of Northumbria University, Professor Andy Long declared open the Centre for Quality Assurance at Business Management School on the 25th of July 2023.
Staff Development Training Sessions

Research Symposium
BMS 2nd Research Symposium held on Tuesday 22 October 2024 at the Galle Face Hotel, Colombo brought together a dynamic group of researchers, industry leaders, and changemakers to explore the theme: ‘Fuelling Innovation & Sustainability: Synergising Management Strategies with Scientific Advancements.’ This impactful event showcased innovative research aimed at building a more sustainable future through innovation and strategic collaboration.

Transnational Education (TNE) Quality Assurance Workshop
Organised by the British Council in collaboration with the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)
Staff members of BMS Campus CQA participated in the Transnational Education (TNE) Quality Assurance Workshop, held in May 2025.
The workshop was organised by the British Council in collaboration with the UK Quality Assurance Agency (QAA), designed to strengthen institutional capacity in quality assurance for TNE provision, the programme focused on aligning local practices with internationally recognised standards.
Internal Quality Assurance (IQA): Ensuring Excellence in Education A Framework for Continuous Improvement
Two Sessions were held on the 29th of July and the 5th of Aug for the staff of the Faculty of Management and Technology and the Faculty of Life and Medical Sciences regarding the importance of Internal Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the role of the BMS Centre for Quality Assurance.
